Portrait of Sharif ‘Steel’ Ullah, the bellboy at Kabul Hotel in Jirga, taken with a Polaroid Land camera during production of Jirga. Steel has a remarkable story, outlined in brief in the book ‘Cameras & Kalashnikovs’. He also works with Australian artists George Gittoes, who discovered the boy in Jalalabad and became a mentor to him.
Limited edition, numbered. Only 10 prints available, signed by photographer / filmmaker Benjamin Gilmour.
